Thomas Milton "Mac" Mcghee Obituary (1946

Thomas (Mac) McGhee, born on September 15, 1946, the second child to J.D. and Jewel of Bristol, TN. In 1963, seventeen-year-old Mac, enlisted in the United States Air Force. That is when his love affair with Texas started. Mac devoted over 20 years service to our country. During that time Mac traveled the world, completed four tours of duty in Vietnam and ended his service at Lackland AFB as a Military Training Instructor. Regardless of where the Air Force took him, Mac always called Texas home. After retiring from the military, Mac worked for Goodyear Tire. While training for Goodyear, he met his beloved wife, Maria. Mac and Maria enjoyed 24 years of marriage, first living in Midlothian, TX, then finally in Red Oak, TX. More often than not, you could find Mac and Maria sitting on their back porch visiting with neighbors, who they adored, watching the sun cast its glory over the vast land of Texas that he loved, with laughter and giggles of grandchildren serenading the conversation. Mac was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Kurylo McGhee, brother, John D. McGhee and parents, J.D. and Jewel McGhee. He is survived by his children, Jennifer McGhee Massie, husband, Chris and their children, Katie, David, Jay Bird, and Josh Watkins, Samuel Paul McGhee and wife, Kimberly and their children, Samuel, Nathan, Gwendalyn and Trinity, Kevin Longville and wife, Cristina and their children, Devin Brandon, Kyle and Christian, Amy Longville Hammar and husband, Jeremy and their children, Marianna and Bryce, brother, William (Bill) McGee and sister, Mary Lou McGee.
