Tawina Pearl Upton Obituary (1956

Tawina Bates was born on January 19, 1956 and raised in Coppell, TX to Onnie and Belva Bates. Raised in Coppell of humble beginnings, Tawina worked as a caregiver to many friends and family for 30 plus years. She was loving, caring and would give you her last dollar if you needed it and did several times. She was always bringing stray animals of all kinds to nurture them back to good health. Tawina loved her family with all her heart and was a Momma and Daddy's girl for sure. Tawina was surrounded by family that loved her as she entered into the Lord's Gates. She was preceded in death by her father, Onnie Bates and mother, Belva Bates. Tawina will forever be missed and forever in our hearts. Gone from our home but not from our hearts. She is survived by her children, Melanie Cornish and husband, Lucas and Waylon Upton and wife, Tanisha, grandchildren, Slade Cornish, Anthony Schmitt and Areanna Martinez, sisters, Margie Lynn Bates, Lynda Mae Brown, April Thompson and Kimberly Roberson and lifelong friends, Sandra Moss and Beth Wixson.
