Sonja Jean Thompson Obituary (1938

Sonja Jean Thompson, age 78, passed away at her home on November 10, 2016. She was married to Billy E. Thompson on October 9, 1955 and they were married for 61 years. Sonja is survived by her husband, Billy Thompson, 3 children, Karen Lea Raley, Kevin Thompson and wife, Deeandra and Keith Thompson and wife, Carrie, 6 grandchildren, Roger Raley, Toby and Hayley Raley, Hunter Thompson, Devin and Harlan Heath, Laura Ashley Thompson, and Justin and Desiray Thompson and 1 great-granddaughter, Peyton. Bill and Sonja attended Paschal High School in Ft. Worth, TX. They were married in Kaufman, TX while Bill was on leave from the US Navy band. They resided in Ft. Worth, TX and Bill and Sonja opened Thompson Auto Parts Store in 1961in Arlington, TX until 1999. She served as vice-president of Thompson Auto Parts and their children were employed in one of the six stores. They moved to Midlothian to be closer to their children. Bill worked for Midlothian ISD for 8 years and is presently employed at Midlothian Senior Citizen's Center. Sonja was a devoted wife and loving mother. She will be greatly missed The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the SPCA.
