Shae Alexander Ray Obituary (1997

On Saturday, November 7, 2020, Shae Ray, loving husband and father of two children passed away at the age of 23. Shae was born on May 9, 1997 in Dallas, Texas to Shawn and Shelby (Smith) Ray. He graduated from Midlothian High School in 2015. He was enrolled in the Cedar Valley College Police Academy while working for the City of Cedar Hill Water Department. Shae married the love of his life, Chasey Mays, on September 25, 2020, and they were raising two boys, Braxton and Ryder. Shae was passionate about the outdoors and sports. He spent his time taking his sons fishing or watching Texas Longhorn football. He enjoyed spending times with friends. They would often have lively discussions on every topic under the sun that could result in good-natured wrestling matches. Shae is survived by his parents Shawn and Shelby Ray; his wife, Chasey, and their two sons, Braxton and Ryder; his brother Shayne Ray and sister Shylar Ray. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Joyce Smith (Mommo); paternal grandparents Debora (Mimi) and Thomas Dorman; as well as great grandmother Betty Baccas and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
