Samanthia King Obituary (1939

Samanthia Jean Wright King, entered her heavenly rest on July 13, 2024, at the age of 84. She was born to Alvin and Jewell Wright on August 28, 1939, in Dallas, Texas. "Pi", as she was known to many, grew up in Oak Cliff and graduated from Sunset High School in Oak Cliff. She married Donald Hugh King and were blessed with their daughter Kandace Ann. "Pi" was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked at the Army Air Force Exchange for many years until retirement, touching the lives of many. After retirement, she went on to work at Massey Western Wear in Midlothian. After her days selling western wear, she proudly took a job as the front office secretary at Midlothian High School, where she was loved and adored by all. "Pi" was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Jewell Wright, and her husband Donald Hugh King. "Pi" is survived by her daughter Kandy, grandchildren, Ashleigh, Jordan & Steven and great-grandchildren, Slade, Tate, Tilley & Cali Grace as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 6 to 8 in the evening at Midlothian Funeral Home. A memorial mass will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 11 in the morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 500 E. Main Street, in Waxahachie, Texas. "Pi" will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.
