Oralia Martinez

Oralia (Orlene) Martinez, 87, of Midlothian, TX, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Oralia was born on April 14, 1937, in Edinburg, TX, to Francisco and Bernarda Rodriguez.

In 1952, she met Matias Martinez in Smithville, TX, and together they built a life filled with love and devotion. They went on to have nine children: Mary Alice, Matias Jr., Martha, Margaret ,Mary, Minerva,,Melinda,Melissa and Melva.

Oralia had a passion for gardening and spent countless hours tending to her flowers. She cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Known for her kindness, strength, and generosity, she touched the lives of so many with her warmth and love.

She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Matias; her children Matias Jr., Margaret, Minerva, Melinda, Melissa, and Melva; 18 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters Mary Alice, Martha, and Mary.

Oralia’s love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
