Mary Mcnair

–

Midlothian, Texas

Mary Alline McNair, 93, died peacefully on November 26, 2018 while sleeping at her Midlothian home as was her wish. She had a rich, full and long life. She always took photographs, then "selfies" and looked at her iPad gallery for hours. Her later years were filled with spending time with family and friends, attending football games, baseball games, birthday parties and social dinners. Born in Corsicana, Texas in 1925, Mary "Alline" attended schools in Dallas and graduated from Crozier Tech High School. She lived most of her life in the area, with the exception of the years when her husband was active-duty military. She held a variety of jobs including homemaker, wife, mother and Nannie, as well as salesperson for Sanger Brothers department store in downtown Dallas, apartment manager and switchboard operator for Lone Star Gas, also in downtown Dallas. Mary loved traveling with husband, Lloyd in their RV, arriving at the Texas coast for the full moon, relaxing on the dock at their lake home, and taking S-L-O-W boat rides. And although she never claimed to have any favorites, she was especially proud of her three-generation namesakes; daughter, Barbara Alline, granddaughter, Kristin Alline and great-granddaughter, Hannah Alline; and of her youngest grandson, Clayton attending college. She is survived by three children, Mike, Barbara, and Debra, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alva R. and Erla Mae Sullivan, brother, Arvell Ray Sullivan and husband, Lloyd L. McNair. Her internment with Lloyd at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery is pending.
