Joyce Bernice Thompson (Hudson) Obituary (1935

Joyce Bernice Thompson 86 passed away peacefully on August 7, 2021, at home in Arlington TX. She was born on Jan 28, 1935 in Venus TX to Dal and Ila Mae Hudson. Joyce grew up in Venus TX and graduated from Venus High. After high school She attended and graduated nursing school to start her 50 plus year career as a health care professional serving in every major hospital department with distinction. Joyce married Owen Thompson in 1960 in Roswell NM. They were happily married for 60 plus years. She enjoyed her family and church as well as serving those less fortunate. Joyce is survived by her sons and her sisters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews and other relatives. Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband, brothers, and parents. A Visitation service will be held at the Midlothian Funeral home from 6 to 8 PM the 12th of August 2021 with the family greeting friends and relatives. There will be funeral service at same location the 13th of August starting at 11AM, followed by internment at the Venus cemetery.
