Johnnie Douglas Deaton Jr. Obituary (1945

Johnnie "Doug" Deaton was born on May 12, 1945 to Johnnie Douglas and Josephine Deaton in Waxahachie, TX and raised in Red Oak, TX. He went to be with the Lord on October 30, 2017. Doug is survived by his wife, Sammie Jo, his beloved companion, Buffy, children, Tiffany and husband Brad Flores, Rachael and husband Jarrett Lawrence and seven grandchildren, Austin, Ryan. Tatum, Kenley, Nelson, Westin and Jessica. Doug was well known in the banking business starting his career at the Republic National Bank in 1964 and retiring from Bank of Desoto in 2015. His great loves were horses, team pinning, hunting and eating. His legacy is the unconditional love he showed to his family, friends and his many customers. He loved sharing knowledge and mentoring others. Doug will be missed by so many but there is no doubt that he is riding his favorite horse, eating his mama's cooking, playing poker with his friends and telling his many stories.
