Harris La Winifred Obituary (1931

La Winifred Bogle Harris was born on April 24, 1931 to Les and Laveta Bogle in Jacksonville, Texas. Her family moved to the Dallas area when she was 12 years old. She attended Crozier Tech High School where she met and married the father of her two children. LaWin worked for 30 plus years for Sears in the catalog department until she retired. She is preceded in death by her parents, Les and Laveta Bogle and great granddaughter Catherine Simmons. She leaves behind a son, Gary Hocutt and daughter-n-law Martha, and daughter Paula Simmons and son-n-law Joey Simmons. She also leaves behind three grandchildren and their spouses, Josh Simmons and wife Elizabeth, Jennifer Bullinger and husband Matthew, and Jodi Noll and husband Mario. The absolute joys of her life were her thirteen great-grandchildren: Caleb Simmons, Kyle Simmons, Ann Marie Simmons, Caroline Simmons, Hannah Simmons, Logan Bullinger, Abigail Bullinger, Cooper Bullinger, Reed Bullinger, Blaise Bullinger, Emma Rose Bullinger, and Elliana Noll. She also leaves behind two sisters Nancy Watson and Virginia Montgomery. Everyone that knew "La Win" best knew her as "Nana". She was the most caring, gentle and giving individual anyone had the privilege of knowing. Everyone else's needs always came first to Nana. Her life and devotion was her family; she was always worrying about her kids and grandchildren, and she was the first to sacrifice for their happiness. Nana loved to talk and visit with anyone and everyone who would listen; she knew no strangers. She knew all her neighbors by name and would go out of her way to greet them if they were just out for a walk or stroll. Even when Nana was sick she never complained, constantly concerned about everyone but herself. La Win impacted every person she came in touch with in so many ways. She remembered the smallest details about people and would never miss a birthday or anniversary; you could always depend on a card from her. She will be missed greatly by her family, but knowing that she is with our Lord, she will always be near in our hearts. Burial will be at Meador Cemetery, Jacksonville, TX
