Gary Wineford Vineyard Sr.

–

Midlothian, Texas

Gary W. Vineyard, Sr. went to be with his heavenly Father on Saturday, April 8, 2017. Gary was born on October 7, 1949, to Chester and Dorothy Vineyard of Dallas. Texas. Gary attended South Oak Cliff High School. It was then he met the love of his life, Frances, at the Rocket roller rink. Frances attended Kimball High School, their biggest rival. After high school, Gary went on to graduate from Northwood University with an Associate's degree in advertising. He worked for Santa Fe railroad for over 20 years. He then went into the field of water utilities, working for the city of Midlothian, DeSoto and then Glenn Heights, making sure everything was up to OSHA standards. Gary and Frances have three children, Gary Jr., Monica, and Michael. They were married for over 40 years, and their children were their pride and joy. Frances preceded Gary in death on January 30, 2008. Gary loved working on projects around the house, playing drums, camping, fishing and spending time with family. He also loved the Lord and was baptized in December of 2000. He retired in October of 2016, and enjoyed retired life. He would often say "Ain't retirement grand?". He was a kind-hearted, loving father, grandfather, and friend to many. He loved helping people. Although we are saddened by his loss, we find comfort knowing he is with the Lord and is reunited with his loving wife Frances.
