Eloisa grew up traveling through out the country with her parents and 12 brothers and sisters. No one place was necessarily called home because as farmers they travel from place to place for work. Even though no one place was considered home, Eloisa knew that it was not the location that made something home, but it is the people you are with that makes it home. Family was everything to Eloisa. After years of traveling thru the country doing farm work, the Gutierez family settled down in Colorado City, TX. After a few years Eloisa became a mother to her first born Cindy Mendoza and her name instantly change from primarily Eloisa to mom. She later on married Max Fuentes Jr and had 2 more children Michael and Denise Fuentes. In 1977 the true strength of Eloisa showed as she unexpectedly lost her husband. As the years passed she worked as a seamstress to provide for her children. No memory was ever lost with Eloisa as she often took pictures at every family event. Her picture collection is second to none and her love for family equally matches the number of pictures she has collect over the years. If you have seen her collection of pictures then you know that she loved her family and cherished every moment with every sister, brother, daughter, son, grandchild, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many many friends. She never left home with out her camera. In 1995 her world changed when she meet the love her life, Charly McCarty. They got married in 1996 and she went from a family of 5 to a family of 8. Eloisa moved to Alvarado and continued to be a great mother and a great wife. Eloisa and Charly were married for 19 years and as their family grew her name once again changed. Once known as Eloisa or mom, now she gained the name Momo. Momo's passion was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and that was no secret. She attended every event she could make it to and she made sure every moment was capture with her camera. In March of 2016 her husband Charles McCarty went to be with the Lord. Eloisa found strength in family but she also found a new personal love and strength in Christ. She attended the church Templo Nueva Vida in Alvarado, TX were she once again showed her love for people and she was loved by many. On September 6, 2017, Eloisa went to be with our Lord and Savior. She died at approximately 8:30 pm at Mansfield Methodist Hospital with her children and grandchildren by her side. She will always be missed and though our hearts are broken at the lost of an irreplaceable person, we find comfort in the fact that we know she is in a better place, in the presence of our King!
