Edmond "Boney" Bonebrake Obituary (1925

Edmond "Boney" Randolph Bonebrake, 90, was a loving Husband, Father, Grandpa and Papa who went to be with the lord on July 3, 2016 in Midlothian, TX. He was the widower of Elizabeth "Betty" Louise Bonebrake. They shared 61 years of marriage together. Born in Oklahoma City, OK he was the son of Raymond Clifford and Mary Elisa Bonebrake. At the age of 17, he made the bold choice to enlist in the Army during World War II and served in the EAME campaign for 3 years. He received the World War II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, EAME Theater Ribbon, and 3 Bronze Service Stars. After the war, Boney became a firefighter at Tinker Airforce base and served there for 20 years. He also enjoyed time serving as a stage manager at the Lloyd Noble Center. After retirement Boney could not sit still, which lead to him driving a bus for the Connors State College athletic program. He was admired by the coaches and players that he spent time with on the bus. Boney and Betty spent many years at Lake Tenkiller, living in "The Cabin". There they shared many great memories with their children and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, tinkering in his workshop, and the company of his friends and family. Boney will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his devotion to the Lord, his love for his dogs, and his love for wearing overalls. Boney is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Louise Bonebrake; his son, Jeffery Lee Bonebrake; his parents, Raymond Clifford and Mary Elisa Bonebrake; and his brother, Robert Raymond Bonebrake. Boney is survived by his daughter Cindy Mason and husband Rick of Edmond, OK; daughter Marci Bonebrake of Midlothian, TX; daughter-in-law, Tracy Bonebrake of Okla. City, OK; grandchildren and their spouses, Carrie and Nik Hicks, Matthew and Jesslyn Adams, Liz and Chase Hawkins, Lindsey Mason, Lauren and Kris Starr, Jeffrey and Bobbie Bonebrake, Meagan and Daniel Ogle, Melinda and Adam Crider; and 18 great-grandchildren. The viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 5 at 2pm at Creekside Church of Christ Midlothian, TX. The memorial service will immediately follow at 3pm.
