Remembering Donna June Rosentreter written by - Jayme Taylor

It is with the Heaviest of Hearts and the Suddenness of Sadness, that we, the devoted family of Donna June Rosentreter, share the devastating news of her passing on Monday, October 5, 2026. Donna, the brightest light in her hometown of Midlothian, Tx, leaves behind a ripple effect of Love, Laughter and Loyalty. Donna, or Momma to her devoted daughters, Mayme to her doting grand babies and even "Uncle" to her loving nieces, is a prime example for all who knew her of what it means to live a full and vibrant life. Where anything is possible, and every day is an adventure. She could make any task into a mission, whether it be a mid night run to Whataburger or Taco Bell. Or a night time hunt for frogs and lizards. She could always bring a sparkle of excitement to the eyes of her grandbabies. Or any kiddo, for that matter. Because, you see, Donna was Mayme to all children, Momma to many a young adult (some not so young anymore) and she is the greatest friend a person could have. She adopted everyone she knew, even some strangers that she didn't! The Beauty of having her in your life -in any and all capacities, was that you got to experience, first hand, the Absolute Magic that was Donna. Her legacy, that will continue to flow down for generations, is that of Love. Without much effort at all, she could make you feel seen, feel heard, feel special, feel important and to Truly feel accepted for exactly who you are. She is the epitome of Unconditional Love. As much as one can miss her, one can love her even more.

Donna was born in Hico, Tx in 1957. She graduated from Midlothian High in 1975. She was known as a spirited, tomboy of a cheerleader. and a tiny but very mighty athlete. She shared her life, through the good and bad, with her sister, Gina, whom she loved so very much and continued to look out for until the day she died. And surely she gave her parents, Henry and Betty Rosentreter, Or Bebe and Papa, a run for their money! Never a dull moment indeed. It was this Beautiful loving family she was blessed with that planted the seeds from which she grew and bloomed into the amazing woman she was. Momma was a very hard worker. Always with her contagious smile and her amazing , tho sometimes innaproriate, sense of humor. Whether it was on the farm running around with Gary doing projects, taking care of her chickens, gardening or serving her community for over 20 years in roles such as Community Service Officer, Health Inspector or in Code Enforcement. She could make any situation better or any person happier, whether they wanted to be or not! Donna left an impression on absolutely everyone she made contact with. She was Sassy, Loud, Silly, Boisterous and the life of every party. Things didn't really get interesting until she entered the room! We all will miss her more than any words can express. Love her more than we ever thought we could. And vow to carry her Spirit, her Light and her Love with each and every one of us everyday from this day forward. For Dayna and I, Donna was our momma, our best friend and our rock. The best Mom and the best Dad two girls could have. We are forever Blessed and we are Forever Grateful. There is Nothing and No one that could ever replace her. So we will try to fill the void she leaves in our Hearts and our Lives with the kind of Love she freely gave to us, and many others. We love you to the moon and back, Momma. We can't wait to see you again...
