Chelita Annette Strain Michalka Obituary (1972

Chelita, all 6 pounds, 12 ounces of her, was born baby girl to Carrie Bell Foreman Strain and Henry Lynn Strain and baby sister to Stacy Lynn and Brandi Lavern Strain at Mid Cities Hospital in Grand Prairie, Dallas County Texas. At that time they lived in Dallas on the edge of Duncanville and attended Northside Baptist Church there. They later moved to Midlothian and became involved in Midlothian Cowboy Church. Chelita and Brandi enjoyed helping their dad grow and show chickens and were quite good at it with many awards to prove it. They were involved in FFA and raised and showed rabbits. Lynn's involvement with horses and other agricultural endeavors and Carrie's personality created close family friendships with Bill & Mavis Glass and Bill & Annette Brashears and many others; Chelita is named after Annette and Chelita Stidham. Chelita graduated from Midlothian High School, class of 91. She trained to be a dental assistant and has had various employment before becoming an entrepreneur with a home cleaning business partnering with best friend Karen Lipsey. Chelita will be remembered as a high energy, fun-loving, creative woman with a huge heart for helping people any way she could, for having a flair for decorating with western art... and as being quite a bit bossy. Memorials may be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in her name. Chelita is preceded in death by her Foreman and Strain grandparents, her mother Carrie Foreman Strain, her father Henry Lynn Strain and sister Stacy Strain Bailey. She is survived by former husband Alan Christopher Michalka children Brandy Gail Michalka Rawlins (Eli Rawlins), Lauren Mckenzie Michalka, Mason Emory Michalka (Taylor Michalka) and Morgan Christopher Michalka, sister Brandi Strain, nephew Brody Wil and Kayla Strain, aunts and uncles, and a host of cousins and friends who adored her.
