Billy Glenn Shaw

Dr. Billy Glenn Shaw, age 84, of Midlothian, Texas peacefully passed away at home on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Dr. Shaw was born in Sweetwater, Texas on October 28, 1931 to Sam and Betrice Shaw. He graduated from Abilene Christian College 1953 and served in the U.S. Army for 2 years with 1 year served in Korea. He graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry 1959 and practiced Dentistry for 45 years in Dallas, Texas. He was a life member of the Texas Dental Association. Dr. Shaw enjoyed driving to his farm to see the cattle, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys as a season ticket holder for many years, and attending grandchildren's activities. He loved the Lord and served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and Sunday morning greeter for many years at Military Parkway Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas. After moving to Midlothian, Texas, he then attended Creekside Church of Christ. The family wishes to thank care givers; Cushaa and Jeanine of Home Instead Senior Care for all their kindness and loving care and the nurses at Alpha Omega Hospice. Dr. Shaw is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jackie, children, Vickie and Richard Bardin, Kathy and Jim Ziaja, Sammy Shaw and Angela, Billy Shaw and Jennifer and Jack Shaw and Sarah, 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A private family burial was held at Midlothian Cemetery.
