Betty Ruth Fox Obituary (1924

Services for Betty Fox, 94, of Midlothian, TX will be at 7:00 p.m. on December 4, 2018 at Midlothian Funeral Home with John Salzman officiating. Betty Fox died November 28, 2018 very peacefully in her apartment at Midtowne Assisted Living in Midlothian. She was born February 13, 1924 in Dallas, TX to Walter and Georgia Snodgrass. She graduated from Dallas High School in May 1941 and married Weldon H. Fox on July 9, 1944. She and Weldon worked for may years with the youth of First Baptist Church, Dallas, TX. Their crowning achievement was acting as Chapel Choir sponsors for more than 20 years. Betty was known affectionately as Mama Fox. Chapel Choir tours were taken to Europe, Japan, Mexico, Israel, Washington, D.C. just to name a few of the destinations. Survivors include her daughter, Jalayne Salzman, grandchildren, Heather, Hayley, Tony, Jasilyn and Jared, and great-grandchildren, James, Mason, Jaden, Jaxon, Noah, Gavin, Lindon, Quincy, Graham and Olivia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, N.C.28607 or Choice Hospice, 1452 Hughes, Suite 300, Grapevine, TX 76051. Private burial will be at DFW National Cemetery
